Beds, Mattresses & Headboards

The Beds, Mattresses and Headboards Department offers something for everyone, and we are delighted that all our beds are British made.  From great value spare room mattresses and beds to beds fit for a Queen!   All our beds are to the usual Barretts high standard of quality, and are designed for full-time use and maximum support and comfort.  We have six Myers ‘open coil’ divan bed models on display, including orthopedic support, memory foam, storage drawer divans and divans on legs.

In our ‘pocket sprung’ range we start with the 800 spring Old English Buttermere, available with drawers or on legs.  Moving up a level to the high quality Staples range with six models going from 1000 to 1600 springs, all with natural tuffing such as cotton felt and lambs wool.  Finally we have the luxurious Hypnos range with four divan beds including the popular ‘Pillow Top Silk’ model, and the fabulous 1880 spring Serenade Supreme.  All our Hypnos beds are hand made and all with various layers of sumptious natural upholstery such as cashmere, teased horse hair and silk.

In our bedstead mattress range two great value open coil models from Old English – excellent for that spare room or childs bed.  We then have four Hypnos models going from the great value 812 spring Silver to the sophistication of the 1642 spring Platinum mattress, catering for all budgets and comfort requirements, and once again built to the highest possible standards.

We have two main headboard suppliers, each catering for different styles and materials.  The Stuart Jones range is mainly upholstered headboards, with a huge selection of styles, shapes, and fabrics.  The Cotswold Caners range is a beautiful collection of stained ash wood and cane headboards, all hand made.  Cotswold Caners also offer a wide selection of bedroom furniture and bedsteads.

To complete the picture we also stock bedsteads, bunk beds, storage beds, guest beds, electric adjustable beds, mattress toppers, mattress protectors, and memory foam pillows!  In short, everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable and refreshing nights sleep.
