Carpets, Rugs and Floor Coverings

At Barretts we are especially proud of our Carpets, Rugs and Floor Coverings department.  It proudly occupies one half of the shop front, and offers a comprehensive range of products as well as a free, no obligation measuring and estimating service.

We can supply a wide range of carpet to suit your requirements and budget, with underlay and fitting included in the price where necessary.  We stock Alternative Flooring, Corma, Westex, Crucial Trading, Whitestone Weavers, Penthouse, Jacaranda and many more.  We also supply a gorgeous range of stair rods for that fininshing touch.

Our natural floor covering range is impressive, with sisal, seagrass, coir and jute available to give that textured look.  Sourced from plants from Brazil to Vietnam, India to East Africa, they can compliment both a comtempory interior and a tradition cottage setting.

Our rug collection is also extensive, with stunning rugs from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and India – hand knotted and vegetable dyed.  Rug styles include Bokhara, Kazak, Ziegler, Kundos, Hamadan and Quasqui, each with their own styles and colours, all extremely hard wearing as well as being beautiful (the oldest known rug, the Persian “Pazyryk Carpet”, is an incredible 2400 years old!)
