Barretts welcomes you to our newly re-furbished Curtains, Blinds, Fabric and Paint department, or ‘Softs’ for short! The personal, expert advice and friendly service is all encapsulated within Softs, with every possible permutation for window treatments and soft furnishings being offered.

We have an extensive selection of fabrics to choose from, including Sanderson, William Morris, Jane Churchill, Linwood, Harlequin, Blendworth, Voyage and many, many more. Prints, weaves, linens, velvets, silks, embroidered, sheers, the list goes on… Whatever your taste – traditional, contemporary, retro, vintage, bohemian, funky, eclectic, you really will be spoilt for choice!

We are most proud of our bespoke, made-to-measure service. Everything is hand-made locally to the very highest standard by our team of makers and supported with a full fitting service (optional). Our experienced team all have years of technical and practical knowledge and will ensure the finished product is tailored to your exact requirements. Don’t forget we offer a free, no obligation measuring and estimating service.

Barretts Softs Department also offers a large selection of made-to-measure blinds. Be it Roller, Vertical, Venetian, or pleated, we can cater for your needs.

We also offer a vast array of hardware to compliment your interior. Our range of classic poles in traditional colours is appealing, and for a more contemporary look we have modern inspired designs on show in ‘on trend’ colours. In additional we have assorted tracks, corded or uncorded, plastic or metal, catering for specialist areas too such as bay windows. And for that elegant finishing touch, we have our lovely tie-back collection.

We have a stunning selection of wallpaper from our fabric suppliers, including historic and beautiful designs from Little Greene and William Morris, and the lovely “Nautic” and “Ocean” collections from Casadeco.

New to Barretts is the environmentally friendly paints from Little Greene, who bring together the most useful and beautiful colours from all the key periods in the history of decoration. Their paints are made with the finest ingredients and up to 40% more pigment than ordinary paints – complex formulations that result in a profound depth of colour and excellent coverage.
