Linens

Headed up by Jill Barrett herself, Barretts is probably best known for it’s Linens department, situated at the front of the shop on the Thoroughfare.  The choice of products, brands, styles and colours is simply stunning, and caters for all tastes.  Whether you’re looking for great value, or high end luxury, we have what you want.

We can provide the highest quality Egyptian Cotton linen, with up to 300 Thread Count weaves.  We have in vogue designer brands such as Orla Kiely, Cath Kidston, Sanderson, and Kirstie Allsop, and classic names such as Peacock Blue, Christy, Peter Reed and Bedeck, as well as soon to be arriving Emma Bridgewater bedlinen and towels.  Our range of value, luxury, and designer towels comes in gorgeous colours and designs, with our annual ‘Wimbledon Towels’ from Christy being especially popular.  We stock designs from Cath Kidston, Orla Kiely and the Christy Renaissance and Odyssey ranges.

There’s a wide range of natural or fibre filled duvets from Fine Bedding Company, Fogarty and Nimbus, and an even greater range of 100% cotton, silk and polycotton duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, quilts, and mattress protectors.  We can also supply made to measure sheets and duvet covers from Acton and Acton, as well as woolen blankets from Earlys of Witney.  There’s our selection of throws, fleeces, and blankets from Tweedmill, and in Winter we stock Morphy Richards electric blankets.  We have 21 different types of pillow alone!

We are especially proud of our ecletic cushion selection.  If you are looking for funky, funny and modern, or nautical, or traditional, or a fabulous appliqué design – we can provide that special finishing touch for your home.  We stock ranges from Moltex, Evans Lichfield and Biggie Best.

Our comprehensive homeware section includes cotton tablecloths of varying shapes, sizes, and colours, plus delightful napkins, napkin rings, runners and other beautiful table decorations from Peggy Wilkins and Waltons.  Then there’s our tea-towels, aprons, oven gloves, tea-cosies from Ulster Waevers, animal door-stops, draught excluders from Dora Designs… the list goes on.  It’s probably best you pop in to see for yourself!
