I have had a varied retail background starting with Pharmacy, Hospitality and Flooring all very much customer-led fields.

What I love about working in the beds and upholstery department is helping the customers with their sales journey and talking to them about what their project is. Discussing their vision and what they have in mind for it. I love contributing to the vision and giving them ideas of colours, styles and fabrics. Helping them plan the project and how things will work in the room. It’s great when I can visit them in their home to see how the ideas will work in the actual room. Taking the fabrics and letting them see them in their own light of the room. It’s a fantastic feeling when it all comes to fruition and they then show us the finished room.

As Assistant Manager and Head of the Carpet Department, I’ve proudly worked in the flooring Industry for over six years.  

I work alongside my fantastic colleague Terry, and together we strive to deliver top- quality service to our customers every step of the way.  From free measuring and quotes to organising fitting, we make the process easy and stress-free.  

With a great range of carpets and hard flooring options, experienced fitters, and a loyal customer base, no job is ever too much trouble.

I’ve been Head of the Soft Furnishing Department for 10-years now.

Along with my team, we offer help and advice on all the best bits of home building – which is Curtains and Blinds!

We have an exciting collection of fabrics to choose from to suit all pockets and home interior projects. 

We are always happy to take the pressure off by ordering complimentary samples and are here to offer solutions to your questions concerning your upcoming projects.

After joining Barretts many years ago, there are many things I enjoy about working in the Linens Department.

There is never a day that isn’t varied. I enjoy meeting customers and helping them find the items to create the rooms of their dreams.

From the window and in-store displays created by our department to inspire our customers, it’s always a joy to help the customers on their journey to find the right products for their home.

I have through my knowledge and experience of our products become the Linens Guru for some of our regular customers.
