As most of you will be off to uni this year the idea of decorating your dorm room how you want will be daunting! What colour scheme do you go for? How can I make it homely? I'm here to answer those questions.
What colour scheme do I go for? How can I make it homely?
Like any room whether it be at home or at uni, you need a base colour to work around. In your room the main piece of furniture will be your bed. So you want to make sure the bedding is correct as you'll be designing your room from it. This gorgeous blue gingham single duvet set (RRP £50) is only £25! It is a perfect set to brighten up your Uni room. Sticking with colour adds a splash of life to a bland room and creates a comforting atmosphere.
If you don't want to have a coloured duvet but still want to add a splash of colour to the end of your bed our Epsom throws add a cosy feel to the room and also dress your bed and make it look amazing. The colour can soften a white duvet set and will make your room that much more homely.
Like most unis you may have to share a bathroom so to make it as cosy as possible you need colourful towels. This will brighten the place up AND let you know whose towels are whose. These gorgeous Christy Lumo towels (RRP £14 for a hand towel) are only £7. They come in the stylist colours below, meaning you can go as bold or minimalistic as you want.
Accessories are a key part to a room. However your room may not be very spacious so the accessories you do have will need to be practical! These gorgeous storage boxes, are not only useful but they also look great. Who says you have to have nasty plastic boxes?
These boxes are £11.20 sale price and are a much needed purchase to complete your room.
