Mr. and Mrs. Moon live in Felixstowe and visited Barretts of Woodbridge to seek help with their new flooring installation. Not only did they choose Barretts due to our close location and being a local business, but they also chose us due to our strong reputation as a flooring installer and high quality product ranges.

Requirements for New Hard Flooring

The couple loved the wood flooring already installed in their ground floor rooms, so they knew they wanted to go for Engineered Wood Flooring again!

It was definitely time for a replacement and Mr. and Mrs. Moon wanted something that could stand up to the rigours of their lively young dog too.

Engineered wood flooring delivers the same natural beauty as solid, hard wood flooring but its construction is different. With compressed layers, there is less risk of expansion and contraction, meaning it is more versatile, practical and affordable.

How Barretts Flooring Department Helped

At Barretts, our Flooring Department experts offer free advice on the right style, grade and wood finish in order to provide a stress-free solution. Although the straight lay plank flooring in the rooms leading off the hallway could not be exactly matched, we delivered a helping hand!

To avoid any new flooring being too noticeable whilst suggesting a good visual contrast, our flooring expert John recommended a parquet or herringbone design. This zig-zag pattern is very contemporary and elegant and adds something special to the Moon’s floor.

Our flooring fitters installed this new engineered wood precisely, efficiently and with great care. As you can see, every angle of the floor was met seamlessly due to our free measuring service as well as our team’s efforts. The perfect finish to the perfect floor!

Featured Products of Engineered Wood Flooring Installation

Mr. and Mrs. Moon chose their engineered wood flooring from the Woodpecker Flooring range which is renowned for its 100 year product guarantee. They picked “Goodrich” in smoked oak which provides a multi-tonal finish along with a natural, warming feel.

They also chose the matching Scotia Trim which goes around the edge of the floor, covering up the expansion gap, to complete the look. As an alternative to Scotia, Barretts also offers a service whereby we remove the skirting board, fit the wood flooring and re-fit the skirting with the expansion gap underneath.
